YOUR ITINERARY
Day 1 – Malta – Embark your ship – P&O Oceana
Malta is a Mediterranean island of great historical importance influenced by many great empires. The capital fortress city of Valletta, described as an open-air museum, is mainly Baroque in character having been built in the 16th century by the Order of St John of Jerusalem. It offers some of Europe’s finest palaces, churches, and works of art. Valletta harbour is surrounded by cream coloured buildings, twisting streets, hillsides beyond, fishing craft and luzzo boats below.
Day 2: At Sea
Day 3: Corfu
Corfu is a lush and sun-drenched island with a long and colourful history – it has been ruled by the Romans, the Venetians, the French and the English. The Town boasts fortresses bearing the insignia of the Venetian Republic, an esplanade lavishly planted by the French during the Napoleonic Wars, and an English cricket pitch.
Day 4: Sibenik
Sibenik is full of charm, character and history. The Cathedral of St. James and the Dalmatian-Gothic-Renaissance works of art are very popular tourist attractions for those wanting to find out more about this beautiful old town. Narrow quaint streets offer opportunities to shop. For those wanting to see more of the natural beauty of this area, a visit to Krka National Park with its five-tier cascading waterfalls and deep gorges in the valley below.
Day 5: Venice
Venice with its gondolas, canals, amazing restaurants, and unforgettable romantic ambiance, Venice is definitely a city for one’s bucket list. Waterfront palazzos, palaces, and churches make drifting down the Grand Canal feel like cruising through a painting. To really experience Venice, you must go to the opera or to a classical music performance, nibble fresh pasta and pastries, and linger in the exhibit halls of an art gallery. Label lovers will drool over the high-end shopping in Piazza San Marco.
Day 6 Zadar
Zadar is filled with atmospheric streets in the old town which has 34 churches all with a rich, interesting history. Listen to the relaxing sounds of the Sea Organ as you stroll along the seafront at sunset. Take a dip in the clear waters or relax in a café and watch the world go by.
